Have you ever wondered about a bank transaction that you donít remember doing or losing your bank credit card and hoping that no one will use it? There are several security authentication options that can be taken in order to assure that no one else claims to be you. One in particular is Biometrics.

What is Biometrics? Biometrics are automated methods of recognizing a person based on physiological or behavioral characteristics. Physiological characteristics are those that we are born with such as fingerprint, hand geometry, or iris. The way a person speaks or a personís signature is classified as behavioral characteristics. We will explore some of the man types of physiological and behavioral biometrics below.
